Time

By bubloo ·
Dear all

I am facing one strange problem in my win2k Professional pc. My CPU time is always 1/2 more than the actual time. Even if i change to current time day by day it's increasing. Should I have to change the CMOS battery? How will i overcome this problem?

My PC is HP BRIO , Intel 810 MBD. win2k Professional is my OS.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Sakthi

If the battery was getting low, then I expect it to be slower or stop keeping time.
Have you checked your Regional Options and that the correct Time Zone is set and Daylight Savings settings. In Date/Time, check that your PC is sync with a NTP server.
If part of a domain, you can set up login script to auto correct time when you login with net time command.
