I have a Macbook (Intel Core 2 Duo) with OSX 10.5.7 installed and my 1TB Time Capsule (V 7.4.2) is consistently doing about ~60k when trying to transfer files from the drive onto my macbook. [internet speed is fine]
It worked great before, but I suspect this has something to do with having windows xp installed (through bootcamp). I managed to finally getting xp to work well enough, but now for some reason the time capsule is extremely slow when trying to transfer files.
I want to throw it through the window. I thought I was finally able to get away from microsoft, but they keep pulling me back in.
How do I get the transfer speed back to reasonable speeds? I tried firmware upgrades, software upgrades, there’s not much information from apple support.

nevermind, through the forums from apple support on the time capsule, someone suggested using wireless g rather than n. it works just as good. not sure why that is.
