Times New Roman Nightmare

By woodd47 ·
I change the normal style and default font and start to type in Word XP and I get the New Times Roman font. I have tried everything in Styles and Auto Correct and nothing seems to work. I'm about to go back to 2000.

MS Word fix

by Info-Safety, LLC In reply to Times New Roman Nightmare

There are at least a few ways to fix your problem. You could go into FORMAT -- FONT and change your font, then click on the DEFAULT button. This will change the default font used in your standard ( template.

Other things you could do: download a trial copy of Corel Wordperfect Office from the Corel web site, or buy it from some place like the Amazon marketplace.

Good luck.

3 cheers for WordPerfect

It's worth it just for "Reveal Codes." I assume they still have that. It's just maddening trying to figure out how to fix bullets, numbering, and other formatting with MS Word when it's all frelling invisible.

There's also Star Office and Open office, both freeware and similar enough to M$Orifice to allow the same functionality for the most part.
