Timesheet software

By mark ·
I have recently taken over a team of 60 technical people in Russia. i am looking for a cost effective timesheet system for them to record activities against projectgs and for me to get reports on. I know this is a well covered market with lots of vendors. Any suggestions on good products would be welcomed. Thank you all

If you are using MS windows server 2003 you can use windows shareoint service, it's free if you have windows server 2003.

I suggest, you take a look at FogBugz (http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBugz/). FogBugz is a complete project management system for software teams. It is very intuitive and really effective. And the best part is, it is very simple and gets the job done.

Check out

Free for 10 users. Licensing is fairly reasonable.

Another option is Aestiva's Timesheets software. Aestiva Timesheets allows users to record user and/or department-based projects and includes report generation tools. It's web-based, which means it's accessible from any computer, including PCs and Macs, using a standard web-browser. No software, other than a standard browser, is required on end user equipment.

We looked at several products and finally decided on Pacific Timesheet (http://www.pacifictimesheet.com/). They have payroll integration as well as time tracking and light project management, so it fit our requirements. It is web-based software, and we use their online service, but you can get a version for download I believe.

Hello, Our online timesheet software is perfect for project mgmt and is FREE for 60 days (or more upon mgmt approval). Visit http://www.onlinetimetracker.net for registering right away. All text is in English, but is easy for most users to create and edit online timesheets. You can print, edit, export and approve online timesheets. Managers can approve and view payroll reports. This is not Quickbooks Online Time Tracker, but a privately-held US company.

Take a look at the time tracking software for projects from Replicon. It's very easy to set up projects/clients and see who is working on what, and their billable/non-billable hours. Everything runs in browser. Very good interface.
