timing how long a batch file takes

By donalconlon ·
Hello,
We have a batch file which copies databases from one win2k server to another win2k server. This batch file runs in the middle of the night. How can we tell how long this batch file takes to copy over the databases. Thanks.

First two lines of batch file

date /T >your path here]\time.txt
time /T >your path here]\time.txt

Last two line of batch file:

date /T >your path here]\time.txt
time /T >your path here]\time.txt

Then just view time.txt.
