to enable floppy drive in windows NT

i have a server that running with windows NT..when i log on as administrator, i found that i can't see the floppy drive existence in my computer. eventhough, physically there is a floppy drive installed. i think it was disabled for security issue. anyone knows how to enable it?

then why must you enable it?

It depends on how it was disabled. If it was done for security reasons, it is likely that it was disabled deeply into the OS, rather than a quick fix.

Check with your companies IT security group or the sysadmin to find out why it is disabled, or if it is just broken!

It could also be disabled in the BIOS

If that's the case, there is nothing you can do in NT (or any other OS) to re-enable it. You'll have to enter the system setup utility before NT boots and enable it there. If it was disabled for security reasons, it's like the setup utility is password protected.

i entered BIOS to change bootable setting and found that the floppy drive was turned off. after enable it, i able to use it. Thanks!
