I am now working on Oracle 8i in Windows NT 4.0 platform. It has 1GB of ram size. I have a table called master and child table having a relation with 8 fields. my child table has around 4 lakh records. when i run Oracle report to retrieve one monthdata, it takes more than half an hour to produce the report. i created index on these fields and i couldn’t able to reduce the time.
help me to fetch the data much faster rate. urgent
