"to" field in Outlook 2003

By mdemko ·
I have recently transferred my files from my old computer running XP, to my new computer running Vista.

All of my contacts in outlook have made it to the new machine.

My problem is that when I use the "to" field and the "Select Names" dialogue box pops up, there isn't any data in any of the lists.

Message recipients is greyed out.

Not surprisingly the same problem occurs when i try to use the CC and BCC fields.

I don't believe the contents of the lists will transfer...

... If I remember correctly, the name of the list transfers, but you have to go back and add contacts to the list itself. That part doesn't transfer.

Just create a 'new' group list ...

Even if you have no intention of distributing to the entire list.

You just need to re-educate the system, that all these names actually exist.
