I agree with everything you said — and no, you didn’t say anything that bothered me, and even if you had, it’s an open forum as you said. I don’t mind when a discussion goes in a direction other than the article’s topic. I appreciate it when readers are respectful, even when they disagree, as you have been — as almost everyone has been.
