to store Important Data into a PC

By shahid_prog ·

i JUST connected one pc to the network. We have our domain here.Configured tcp/ip/assigned ip/mask/dns. Everything is there.I also mapped some drives on this pc.Now , I need to allow some users to store some important data in, and allow some users to share the info for each other as well. I dont know how to configure the next as new IT guy here. Please advice.

To create a folder where other domain users can access and/or change the data, do this.
1. create a folder, and name it as you wish.
2. Right click on that folder and select "sharing and security"
3. On the Sharing tab, select "Share this folder"
4. below that, click the "permissions" button.
5. (I do it like this, my preferred method) remove "all users" from the list and add "authenticated users". Assign it Full Control. Click OK
6. Change to the Security Tab
7. Add the users and/or groups here. Set the permission level as needed.
