TOE and Teaming NICS

By greg.hruby ·
My DELL 2950 servers have 2 BroadCom NetExtreme NIC's. The vendor of the application installed on these servers advises turning off the TCPChimney (as a registry hack) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

I'd like to Team the NIC's but want to know how detrimental are the registry hacks to the TCP-Offload-engine (TOE) that is used under Teaming.
