Can you give me the path settings for Jakarta Tomcat installation on both Windows 98 & Windows XP?

Are you referring to the CATALINA_HOME variable? The value of such variable would report to the base directory of your Tomcat Installation
example:
C:\jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28

Tomcat Installation:
goto command prompt where u r having tomcat setupfile.

SET JAVA_HOME=type\ur\jdkinstallation\path eg.d:\jdk1.4.2
now run the setupfileb tomcat4.1.3_bin.exe

u can give the installtion path to d:\tomcat

at the final stage u can configure the username &password &port number for u tomcat server
the default username is admin password <empty> and port number 8080 otherwise u can use 80 if u specify the port number 80 u can use http://localhost/ as a url otherwise http://localhost:8080/ as url.
