Tool to determine last time used file

By yanhenrichon ·
I want to compress files that are not used every day on our SAN. Is there a tool to determine "last time used file or directory" that will allow me to compress the right files and/or directory?

Thank You.

You can do a lot with Windows scripts. An example of a similar requirement to identify files or directories not used since certain date can be found at TR Q&A at http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-11184-0.html?forumID=57&threadID=182531

A tidier version of the same can be found from my website at http://totaldata.biz/techtips/batchfile.html.

Use the COMPACT command to compress the files you need.
