I own a toshiba 3000 X4 laptop ,, it dad a bios password as well as my windows xp user password . I tried to get rid of the bios/ admin password when i switched on the laptop by going into the bios password settings and entering my current password and when prompted entered new password as blank, ijust hit return, i was then asked to confirm the password and again hit return. Now i cannot access my laptop ,”password” comes up on switch on and old password or just enter wont work, i tried the loopback tool and that wont work aso tried the backdoor “passwords” to no avail,,,please help..any suggestions it has phoenix bios release 4
