I have the above listed model laptop and it has suddenly stop working on battery power. The battery monitor in the system tray always shows charging and the % went from 39% when this first happened about a week ago to 23% now. If its not plugged in it acts as though it were a desktop, nothing happens. If the cord comes unplugged while im using it, it just dies, no warning or anything.
I have the extended warranty from CompUSA which is now closed and the insurence company wants me to send them the laptop, at my cost for 4-6weeks! can you believe that $#!%? I cant be w/o my laptop for 4-6 weeks unless they want to pay my salary.
Any tips on either fixing it myself or forcing the compusa insurence to not be a$$holes about this?
