At a guess i would say your graphic card has gone..

Since this is an on-board graphic card, your laptop has gone. I would suggest you take it to a shop that deals with this. Sorry i can not add more.

This is mostly caused by excess heat cooking the Video Card

Or Integrated Circuits on the M'Board of any Note Book. NB's if not treated correctly have a very short life and when you get a ripped video display that is the first sign of overheating causing permanent damage.

Generally however this is looked at before it totally destroys the Video Circuit so that things do not get so bad as to prevent the NB from displaying a picture while it boots.

The solution here is to replace the NB and this time use a Cool Pad like the one shown here.

If you use a Cool Pad in conjunction with any NB it will extend the NB's life dramatically.

A possible answer to your computer problem

by Get a new computer In reply to Toshiba Qosmio F15 - dash ...

Hey there, I had lines going down my Toshiba P200 and was told that it's not my inverter which is located on the screen but it was the motherboard that was fried and I needed a new one. It costs as much as a laptop. So, I bought a new one.
