I’ve been trying to upgrade a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4310 laptop with the Toshiba PA3005U 128MB SO-DIMM’s. The laptop has a standard 64MB hard wired base memory.
Now here’s the question. When I install 1 x 128MB BIOS is showing 196MB of installed memory rather than 192MB. When 2 x 128MB are installed, it shows 327MB. The maximum a Satellite Pro 4310 can take is 320MB.
I have tried re-flasing the BIOS with a new version, but still get the same result.
Any ideas?
