OOPS SORRY, I’M A NEW USER AND I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG AREA, NOW RE-POSTED IN “QUESTIONS”

One of our users (or more likely her kids) has set up a boot password which obviously nobody remembers. they may have also set up bios passwords etc for all we know.
Can anybody offer a solution short of sending back to Toshiba. The laptop is oput of warranty.
The machine is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 Model no.PSL4BE-00R005EN
