I have a user that has a f480 with Win98 that has had problems with his touchpad. Basically, if he taps the touchpad, where ever his mouse is that item is selected. He stated he turned it on by accident, this is his personal machine, but doesn’t know how to turn this option off.
Has anyone seen this or know how to combat this problem? He wants to be able to use the touchpad, just not to have a tap/select setting. This is not an option in Mouse properties or system settings that we can find. Sony doesn’t list this, only how to disable the touchpad all together, which is not what he wants to do. I’m thinking that he hit a key combination to turn it on, but he’s not sure. Have tried restoring the Laptop default settings, but didn’t make any difference.
He also stated that he had a Logitech USB mouse hooked up at one time, but has since be removed. So has the software. Anyone have any thoughts?
