TR and tracking cookies

Is it really necessary to allow ads on the TR web site which install tracking cookies? To be specific, the ad that loads up prior to the TR home page being displayed is dropping cookies on us. I delete the cookie and it’s right back again next time I visit. I know you have to pay the bills, but come on guys! Can’t you be more selective about it?

And, while I’m at it… NIX the danged Google ad server! It’s slow, sometimes even non-responsive and hangs the TR forum from loading anything until the ad server has loaded it’s trash. How about programming the web site so that it will load first and let the ad servers go blank forever if they can’t perform?
