TR – password requests – do we flame OR take the blame?

I for one, as a relative newcomer, am surprised that a forum such as this can have so much disagreement over a single subject.

By far, the single most frequently requested information, is for the bypass of either BIOS or Administrator passwords. These requests are to varying degrees either blatantly illegal or flowery woeful cries for help.

Nevertheless they all require one or more of us to risk everything to answer the posted question.

Instead of ripping each other apart for being sarcastic, or not being understanding enough, or not being nice to the li’l ol’ lady – we either agree to agree or agree to differ.

I for one will continue to view these particular requests with the eye of one who has personally lost over ?4,000 in stolen laptops over a one-year-period, including having to become a litigator in order to get a hotel owner into the British Court System to sue for having no insurance cover. My demeanour in this instance is clearly tarnished but it brings an unsavoury taste to my mouth when I read these woefully ill-written tales of hardship.

It is time to stand up and be counted. No secret ballot for this topic. How do you stand?
