Perhaps being clear would help

Giving your question a clear title would help knowledgable people find it. And being clear about what you are trying to do, what you have tried so far and why it didn't work would help a lot. I've got no idea what 'saving Thunderbird emails to Open Office' means, despite having used both products. Perhaps you think Open Office is a file system and believe you should be able to save to it? Perhaps you want to copy and paste the contents of an email into Office Writer and it's not working? Perhaps you want to be able to read your Thunderbird emails from within Open Office applications? I've truly got no idea.
