Using Outlook 2000, has anybody figured out how to stop people who view their e-mails through the preview pane from by-passing the tracking functionality.
The check I performed was to have four machines running with four seperate e-mail accounts open.
I set three with preview pane on, and sent the same e-mail to all three. I then read the e-mail in the preview pane and deleted the message on all three machines.
There was no read notification sent and subsequently no tracking available.
