I am looking for a user-friendly and reliable tool/method to track loaner hardware inventory such as laptops, pdas, etc.
Obstacles that we are running up against right now include:
* poor communication between the team that tracks the inventory availability and the team that needs to provide this information to the user community
* adequate forecasting of availability for advanced requests. — Some people call two weeks in adavance and some two days. The people who call in two weeks should get priority however for the hardware, however, we do not want to deny others access equipment in the meantime.
I am interested to hear what others currently use and the effectiveness of their systems. Thank you.
