Tracking NTFS Permissions

By cjones ·
Is there an NT utility that I can use to extract the NFFS permissions for each user in each folder on a network drive? Sure I've seen something before, but can't recall.

Thanks.

A great 3rd party package is Security Explorer from Small Wonders Software. You can export security context for NTFS trees to flat files or databases. It also allows a finer control of security modifications than available in the default NT security GUI - example: you can add a user with change permissions to a folder and all or some of its subfolders without replacing permissions for all other users at the same time.

Hope this helps, -Ewing
