Hi, this one should be an easy one but ive been having a lot of problems with it
I am using Win XP Pro and have recently had to reinstall my whole system onto an old backup drive as my new HDD failed. It is all now nicely setup with all softwareinstalled.
I have just got my replacement HDD and want to transfer my whole system to the new drive – easy i thought. I have partition magic 8 and simply copied the whole parititon to the new drive….
The machine will not boot, it get all the way to just about to show the windows desktop and then appears with a message saving that Windows was not able to verfiy your license.
I presume this is something to do with windows activation….is there any way that i can transfer my OS partition to my new drive without having to reinstall all my hard work – i used to be able to do this stuff with Win 98 and Win ME
