Transfertable data to new template.

By artform ·
Is It possible to copy or transfer tables to a new existing table in MS Access Inventory Control Template from an exsting table in MS Access Inventory Control that was created using the same template. I accidently deleted a form that apparently had subforms. If your familiar with the template the Products Form and associated subforms are what I need to beable to create and print Purchase Orders.

Hello,
If I understood you correctly, you accidentally deleted a form in your database and want to restore it. You are thinking of moving your existing tables to a new copy of the Inventory management database from Microsoft website.
Yes, you can copy the tables from one database to another database. Open the NEW database. From the Insert Menu, select Table, then Import table. In the file dialog box, you can select the OLD access file and the table(s) you want. Just make sure to delete/rename existing tables before this step. If you need further information, please let me know.

Poster rated this answer. I tried your solution before but it hasn't worked so far. I keep getting one of those cryptic error messages that say can't perform task with no reason. I've also heard that accessxp is not compatable with access 2000. It appears the template was written in access2000 and I am using accessxp2002. Thanks for the reply though.
