I have a HP Pavilion a735w and use Windows XP. Earlier this evening, I was checking email and researching subjects on Google when I suddenly hear a loud high pitched noise coming from my computer. It resembled the sound a computer makes when a key is pressed down and emits an annoying “eeeeee” sound.
Then, my screen turns black and the following is displayed:

I have never encountered this before and immediately shut down my computer thinking it was a virus. I tried to reboot an hour later and it did not appear again. Can anyone enlighten me as to what happened and how to remedy it?
