Trash Can Redirect

By Gooser12 ·
Is there a way to set up that any files deleted from a certain mapped drive will go to the users trash can? - All users have there own separate home drive that we want files to go from into their trash cans on their desktops.

I don't think it can be done. Any deletions from a non-local drive will be permanent.

As previously stated, network deletions are permanent, unless the deletion hapens through RDC or similar app.
If you are looking for recovery options for that specific drive, you may want to use SVR03 and setup volume shadow copy. Then the users can retreive data at will without hassling IT

I have found that the trash can will fill with items deleted from "My Documents" if you redirect to a network drive.
