I had a Dell laptop from 2003ish that died recently. I’m pretty sure the hard drive is still good and would like to retrieve some of the data from the drive. I also have a USB -> IDE device. The tavelstar drive has the same amount of ide pins, but the 4 power pins are laid out 2×2 instead of the larger 4×1 pins. I’m looking for any information on how to connect the drive to my usb device, even if I’m running the power cables individually, soldering some little wires or whatever. Hope someone out there has some input or references! Thanks tons! 🙂
