We have one site in the UK running a network of 5.1 servers IP only, no IPX. The other site in Sweden has a network of mixed 4.11 & 5.1, with IP & IPX. Both sites have a separate NDS tree.
We want to merge the 2 trees to 1 tree.
1 – Can this be done without adding IPX to the IP-only site? I mean does the NDS sync work with mixed IP & IPX? I guess that a 4.11 IPX only server can not sync the NDS with a 5.1 IP-only server, right?!
2 – NDS for the mixed 4.11/5.1 network is 6.09 (4.11) and 8.59 (5.1), the master of [root] is 8.59
NDS for the pure IP 5.1 network is 8.59
Can I use dsmerge? If not how then do the merge of the 2 trees?
I understand that dsmerge can not be used in NDS8 – correct?
