Your trident drivers may still be in your windows/system or windows/inf directories. Use your device manager and go to update drivers, point the location to either the system and or inf directories. This should update your video card.

find the program you downloaded (use search on filename) and extract its contents to a temporary folder (trident for example).
Then when you are using the update driver wizard point (device manager, videoadapter , driver)to that temporary folder and it will find the files and you are done.

Leopold

you need to go back to your desktop in windows and assign it a generic driver-usually pci vga card (if its win9x) will do. reboot and then you can probably find your driver and install it.
you were probably in troubleshooting mode which often willnot allow installation of special drivers. hope this helps.
