Trojan System Volume Information Folder

By The_Roamer ·
I keep getting an error from my antivirus software stating I have a Dropper.Small.DE trojan on my computer.

The file location is C:\System Volume Information\_restore{03BC465D-33B9-4146-8166-8996776443E9}\RP239\A0094671.exe

I run the antivirus software, but the software cannot open the file.

I try changing attributes to manually go in and clean it, but it will not open.

I am logged on as Administrator....I don't know what to do next.

It is XP home edition.

Any ideas?

Anti virus software cannot open, clean or modify Restore Points. Simply delete the restore point and create a new one by doing the following.

Right click My Computer>properties>System Restore>check Turn Off System Restore>click Apply>then uncheck Turn Off System Restore and click apply>Restart computer.
