Trouble accessing sub folder in a shared drive

by kamijani1 . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

I just setup my wireless network at home (One Desktop and Laptop). I shared the D Drive on my host computer (desktop) and clicked on the option which said:
“Allow network users to change my files”
Now, I am able to access the D drive remotely from my laptop and I can see the contents of it and drag files to and fro. One thing I cannot do, and which is baffling me is that when I go to a Picures folder within D Drive, I can view and copy pictures within the folder, but if I try access a sub-folder within the Pictures folder, i get an error message saying that I don’t have access to that folder.

Since I shared the whole of D drive, shouldn’t I be able to access its folders and any sub-folders?

To top it off, this behavior is not consistent, as I can access sub-folders within my my music folder under D drive.

Can somebody guide me as to what could be the problem?
