Trouble installing WinXP

Hi there
i have formated my hard drive with the use of win xp cd in order to install windows xp. the setup gets thru the first part of intalation, however it does not continue after the computer reboots. the setup starts all over again

iv tried installin it using alot of methods and doing alot of different things.. but still cant figure out the problem. iam sure there is nothing wrong wit my hard drive

it would be really helpfull if someone could give me a solution to this problem.

Wipe Hard Disk

Partition remnants can cause XP installation failures. Use a utility like DBAN to completely wipe hard disk and they try install.

One pass is sufficient -- use /quick switch.

Press and Key to Boot off CD when the computer reboots it's important that you don't press any key or you'll start the Setup Process all over again.

I'm assuming here that you can actually see a HDD and a Partition on it or at least format the HDD before the restart.
