trouble shooting for Internet connection

Dear Sir,

I have problems with window 2000 advanced server. Each time when in configure
the system for certificate issue, ipsec, security policy or remote access, the
internet setting goes out order. I will be never able logon to the internet.
What could be the problem and how can i rectify this. Thank you in advance of yr
assistance.
