Trouble view MOV files on a Mac behind an ISA firewall

Hi There,

I need a little help. I am running a Windows network and being a creative company we have a good mix of Mac and PC workstations. On the server side we are predominantly Windows, with Exchange and the like. One of the servers is an ISA 2006 Server and this has caused me endless headaches for the guys on Mac’s.

I had constant issues with my Mac’s continually getting requests for login details every time they tried to surf the web. Recently I was able to find an site that gave instructions about adding a rule into ISA that would allow my Mac guys to surf the net without that irritating login dialogue box always coming up. Well in Safari it doesn’t come up, but in Firefox you get asked once per session to login. That I can handle.

Now for the next issue 🙁 I was hoping that the rule applied to ISA would slove all the problems but there is still one issue that I know of. I say know of because I only seem to find out about problems after the users have tried to fix it themselves 🙁

Anyway back to my issue. My Mac users can’t seem to view online .MOV files from any browser on there Mac’s, whether it be Safari, Chrome or Firefox. It keeps asking for the users to verify through the proxy. I have tried to find information about this but I am unable to find any useful information. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
