Trouble with GPO’s

OK, So I have installed Win2K onto my Server, and I want to configure the GPO’s for the workstations.

I have found resources and instructions of how to configure this and I think I have done this right.

However, I cannot get the things to workon the workstations.

I have rummaged around TekRepublic and got some Ideas from previous questions, however I still cannot get them to work.

I understand that the permissions need to be given to the users, but where do I do this?

I am new to Win2K and would apreciate some help.
