My system was recently the victim of a power blackout. Outlook2000 and Outlook Express were both running at the time of the crash. OE recovered nicely, but Outlook did not. When I try to launch Outlook, I get the splash screen and nothing else. Ctrl-Alt-Del says it’s running, but nothing about “not responding”. I have tried repairing Outlook, uninstalling and reinstalling the entire Office2000 suite, and repairing Internet Explorer – but nothing helps. No error messages are displayed, andthe system doesn’t freeze. I’m running Win98SE.
