I have a Win 2003 DC running a native AD domain with 2 old NT4 servers.(still required for generic applications)
When trying to log onto the 2003 AD doamin from the NT4 server with a domain user account it fails with “system can not log you on to the domain because the systems computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is incorrect”
As a local administrator on the NT4 server I can map a drive to the 2003 DC and authenticate as required.
As the LAN administrator on the 2003 DC I cannot map a share on the NT4 due to the following error – “The trust relationship between this workstation and the Primary Domain failed”
I can ping using netbios and ip successfully.
I have removed the NT4 server from the domain and then rejoined to re-estabish the connections with no resolution.
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appeciated
