We’re running Win NT Server 4.0 (with SP6a) on all of our servers. After a recent virus attach that took down several machines, we are now in a rebuilding mode. We have just returned our BDC to service on the domain, but we are getting the followingmessage in the system log of the PDC. Our domain is WEB-720A, our PDC is SRV-720D and our BDC is SRV-720A.
Message is:
“The computer SRV-720A tried to connect to the server SRV-720D using the trust relationship established by the domain WEB-720A. However, the computer lost the correct security identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfigured. Reestablish the trust relationship.”
I’m well aware of how to establish trust relationships in WINS between two different domains, but am not aware of how to establish the between server in the SAME domain.
I tried renaming the domain on the BDC and then returning it to the WEB-720A domain, but that did not solve the problem.
Any suggestions guy’s..??
