We have a Windows 2000 server and several Terminal Server Clients. The server generates 2-diskette with the installation software. I need to install the TS Client on a laptop that does not have a diskette drive. While connected to the network, I copied DISK1 and DISK2 to the laptop however, several of the shortcut files on DISK2 pointed to disk1, which I was able to re-direct. However, some of the shortcuts also wanted to know what program to use to open the file and ??? I didn't know so I skipped them. When I try to connect to the server, it goes thru the motions then replies: "Disconnected by Server" ... no other messages. Any help?

Forget the floppy disk version! How about you download the new Terminal Services Advanced Client MSI file to install the TS client. You could save it onto the network share, and the clients can run their installs from that location. Here is the URL: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/recommended/TSAC/default.asp (please remove any spaces)
Select the MSI Install option in the drop-down window.
