Ok, so I’m trying to use Win2K3 RRAS (Routing and Remote Access) VPN. Setting up the VPN aspect is easy enough, and I can verify it works fine internaly.
The problem is getting it to work with my firewall.
I’m using a Watchguard Firebox Core that already has VPN setup using the Watchguard VPN. I want to keep the Watchguard VPN but enable windows VPN aswell.
I’ve been unable to get the firewall to allow PPTP and GRE traffic to and from my RRAS server (which is also my exchange/webmail server) and now have a crazy idea.
I can connect a linksys router directly to the interent and into the 2nd NIC in my exchange/webmail/RRAS VPN server. The problem is that all outbound traffic is still going through the firewall(NIC 1). Is it possible to tell windows to route all PPTP traffic out the 2nd NIC to the linksys router? Or am I completely off my rocker here?
