I am having an issue with either our ISP (Comcast) or our Offsite Service Provider who uses Terminal Serices via web page. You can logon to a TS session and it works great as long as you do not let it set idle for any longer than about 2 minutes (varies PC to PC). According to our Service provider they have their TS timeout set for 2 hours. I have a couple of these PC’s directly attached to the netgear business ip gateway (CG814CCR) to verify that it was not my Procurve switch that was the issue.
An interesting note is that we did not have this issue before comcast replaced our cable modem due to a power outage in the area. Comcast internet is working with download speeds of 12mb and uploads of 2.7 mb. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why I can not maintain an idle TS session? Are their any settings on the new netgear that i should be looking at
