How does one turn off the automatic Windows Update feature in W2K?

Thanks,

Turning Off Critical Update on Win2K PC

go to start \ run and type in gpedit.msc
select user config \admin templates \ start menu and taskbar\

The setting you want is 'Disable and remove links to windows update'

This will be applied to every user who logs into the machine. If you are running a win2k domain, this can also be applied at the site, domain or OU level. if you haven't looked at Group Policy before, be prepared to be blown away by the restrictions available to you!! Have Fun...
