By enemy0110 ·
I have a geoforce 2 mx 400 and I want to be able to watch what I have on my monitor on my TV and im wondering if I need to download a program or if hooked up correctly it will just automatically show up on my tv screen. The TV screen I have is preety old. so It dosnt have digital audio\video inputs ports on it, so I was trying to run it through my VCR to my TV. And it seems this is not working. Please help.

Assuming you have a TV out connector...this will either be an RCA (Phono) connector or a 4 pin Mini Din for S-Video. Both of these are Analogue, not Digital signals and have to be connected to either AV in or Line in or S-In on your VCR. Set the VCRto the AV in rather than a channel.

The driver has to be set to display on the TV Out. This has to be set for NTSC in the US, or PAL in Europe. The driver may have to have TV out enabled, and you will only be able to use a resolution of 640x480 or 800x600 and the refresh rate can be no more than 72Hz. These settings can be changed in Display Properties where there should be a tab for TV out if you actually have a TV Out version of the card.
