Tweak XP prevents programs running

By Catherine Ebenezer ·
I ran a utility called Tweak XP on my new PC at work, hoping to improve performance. Unfortunately I subsequently found that several programs would only run when I was logged in as administrator, not with my normal user account. I have checked the permissions for these programs - all are fully enabled. Our IT support people can't solve the problem - help please!!

You may not be able to repair that profile as is. One option is to reinstal the affected programs logged in as you. Another option as a last resort is to copy the admin. profile to your profile (Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Advanced, User Profiles ) highlight the Administrator account then copy to browse to C:Documents and setting find your account click on it and say OK. It will say the profile already exists do want to prceed say yes. Both options can make your profile corrupted so make sure you backup personnal files. I have seen some profiles I couldn't save at all.
