Hi! (Rewording my ques, making it more simple to understand)
I have two urls abc.exam.ca and xyz.exam.ca. abc.exam.ca was my original site. I want xyz.exam.ca which is on a different IP to point to the contents of abc.exam.ca which means that if i type xyz.exam.ca it is pointing to the same server.document-root as of abc. I am using lighttpd. In short there are two separate urls each having seperate IP but opening the same content in browser.
May be this is helpful.
Thanks a lot in advance

you can point FQDNs to the same IP address

by CG IT In reply to two domains pointing to s ...

but if the FQDNs have different, set, static, never changing, IP addresses, you can't have the FQDN resolve to a different address, ( unless you want to do web hop). To do a web hop, you have to be the owner of the FQDNs.

in any web application, or HTML page, you can use a URL link.

Hi CG IT!
Thanks for ur help. I have put redirects on the domains and they are working fine now but i still encountered a major issue and that is as follows:
Both the domains abc.exam.com and xyz.exam.com are picking up their content from a single directory in /var/www/abc.com/www
In this dir i have .html and .php files
The URL abc.exam.com is redirected to xyz.exam.com, so now anybody trying to write http://abc.exam.com/index.html is redirected to http://xyz.exam.com/index.html and its picking this .html file from /var/www/abc.exam.com/www but the url is not picking the .php files from the same directory. For e.g. if i type http://xyz.exam.com/main.php or http://abc.exam.com/main.php. its giving me a blank page.Plz help
Thanx in advance
