Two NIC's problem in Win XP

By PaLoBo ·
Hi All,

I have a PC with Win XP Home and two NIC's installed. One is for internet and intranet and the other is connected to a CCTV multiplexer.

The problem is that with both NIC's active I have no internet and no intranet access. I have to deactivate the multiplexer NIC in order for intranet to work.

Both NIC's are in the 192.168.0.x range. I've tried bridging but that doesn't help.

Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pedro.

1. change one of the NICS to 192.168.1.nn and your subnet mask on both to 255.255.255.0 to put them on different networks.
2. you could get a switch instead.

Thanks for the answer dryflies, but unfortunately it didn?t work. I managed to solve the problem later. I had overlooked the fact that I had to give the bridge between the two NIC's an IP address. It's working just fine now.
