Two OS installed

By cakester ·
I partitioned my hard drive and installed XP. I hard some problems but in the end, I ended up installing XP on both partitions. I then reformated the second partition. The problem is at start up I still get the option of which OS to run. One loads the XP and if I choose the second option, I get an error (because it's not there anymore). How would I corect this so that XP boots automatically and does not give me the option?

Goto Start>Run>msconfig>Boot.ini and click on Check All Boot Paths. Does it ask to Remove an Invalid Entry? Say Yes and restart and now it should boot straight into the valid installtion.

Thanks. This worked fine but why does windows tell me that access is denied because I must be a part of the administrators group. I am the administrator, in fact if your not logged on as one you don't even have access to this. I just said yes and everything works.
